Viewing the Strategic Modeling Push Status

During execution of Strategic Modeling related jobs, the following sub-statuses for parent jobs are:

  1. The job name currently being executed, for example: Run_Status: [Executing Child Job 1 of 5: Child_Job_Name]. Note that 1 and 5 are dynamic values.
  2. Child Job Sub Status: Run_Status: [Step 1 of 5: Validating.] Note that 1 and 5 are dynamic values.

During execution of Strategic Modeling related jobs, the sub-statuses for child jobs are:

  1. Validating.
  2. Fetching target data.
  3. Fetching source data.
  4. Transforming.
  5. Clearing and pushing data to target.

To see the Job Details in Jobs, click the child job name.

The possible steps to be executed for this job are:

  1. Validating.
  2. Fetching target data.
  3. Fetching source data.
  4. Transforming.
  5. Clearing and pushing data to target.

When the clear data is selected is NO, the previous steps are shown without the Clearing data step.

For Strategic Modeling to Strategic Modeling type data maps, child jobs are created based on the target model name. The child jobs are executed in the following combination: Scenario, Value, Time Periods, and Cell Text. Each of the combinations of selected models as part of target are called. The sub-status of the parent job displays as "Processing Models", and in child jobs the sub-status is:

  1. Fetching Source Data.
  2. Clearing and pushing data to target.

The message displays in job details:

  1. Fetching Source Data.
  2. Clearing and pushing data to target.

When a job is triggered from Strategic Modeling but the parent job is not created by the data maps layer, no sub-status of the parent job is available. The sub-status for child jobs is set and displayed on the Job listing page.

For a Planning to Strategic Modeling implicit check in, the sub-statuses are:

  1. Fetching target data.
  2. Fetching source data.
  3. Transforming.
  4. Clearing and pushing data to target and executing implicit check-in data maps

The message displays in job details:

The possible steps to be executed for this job are:

  1. Validating.
  2. Fetching target data.
  3. Fetching source data.
  4. Transforming.
  5. Clearing and pushing data to target and executing implicit check-in data maps.
