Enabling Task Manager from within Planning

If you are currently using task lists or if you selected the Task List task flow type during application creation, you can enable Task Manager, however there are important considerations that you must review before making this change.

Considerations for Switching to Task Manager

Before enabling Task Manager, review the following considerations:

  • After enabling Task Manager, you cannot convert back to task lists.

  • You cannot migrate existing tasks and task lists to Task Manager. You must delete your tasks and task lists before enabling Task Manager.

  • You must log out and log in again to see the newly enabled Task Manager.

Deleting Tasks and Task Lists

Existing tasks and task lists cannot be migrated to Task Manager. Any task list artifacts that exist on the system will prevent you from enabling Task Manager, so they must be deleted prior to Task Manager enablement. Back up your application before deleting any tasks and task lists.

See Deleting Tasks and Task Lists.

Enabling Task Manager

If you have no existing tasks and task lists on your system, you can proceed with enabling Task Manager.

To enable Task Manager:

  1. On the Home page, click Application, and then click Overview.

  2. From the Actions menu, select Enable Task Manager.

  3. Log out and log in again to see the newly enabled Task Manager.

  4. To work with Task Manager, see Administering Tasks with Task Manager.
