Valid Flat File Format

The maximum of 100000 cells can be imported at a time. Files containing more than 100000 cells displays an error on import.

If any rows fail to import, an option is displayed to export a log of the failures to an Excel file.

The following fields are accepted in the header:

  • Account or Measure. (Required) - the account key. For example, "v1080:010" or "v1000:020|Laptops|North" (if the account has custom dimensions applied).
  • Scenario (Required) - the name of the scenario to which data is imported.
  • Values (Optional) - either "input" or "output", if not specified output is defaulted.
  • Period(s) (Required) - For example, "2017" or "Q419".

Note:

The header items are not case sensitive. If any of the required headers are missing the header validation fails. Irrespective of the default unit of the model (Ones, Thousands, Millions, etc.), the .csv file being imported should contain values expressed in Ones.
