How You Override B2B Communication of Purchase Orders

To override the B2B communication of purchase orders, you must select the Override B2B communication check box on the Edit PO page.

If you have enabled Override B2B communication on the purchase order, you can use an alternate communication method, using the Communication Method setting, such as email or fax.

Here are some of the considerations for enabling the Override B2B communication option on purchase orders:

• Purchase orders with Override B2B communication enabled won't be communicated using B2B. If there is a Communication Method set on the purchase order, the order will be communicated using that method. If the Communication Method is None, the order won't be communicated.
• Purchase orders with Override B2B communication disabled will be communicated using the B2B message set up on the supplier site.
• The Override B2B communication check box is only visible if there is a B2B message set up for the document type (purchase order, change order, cancellation order).
• The default value for Override B2B communication is disabled.
• Only buyers with the Override Purchase Order B2B Communication privilege can change the Override B2B communication value.
• You can set Override B2B communication using the application, file-based data import, or the Draft Purchase Orders REST resource.
