Manage Changes to External Purchase Prices
Any updates to the external purchase prices are imported as change orders. If the change orders are imported with the approval required option, they must be approved before the changes are updated to the external purchase price.
The change orders for an external purchase price are processed sequentially in the order in which they were created. If a change order is pending approval, any subsequent change orders are queued in not processed status. Change orders in not processed status will be automatically processed in the next run of the Import External Purchase Prices scheduled process, if there are no prior change orders in pending approval status. The external purchase prices in pending approval status and change orders in either pending approval status or not processed status are shown as exceptions in the External Purchase Prices work area.
You can view the history of all the change orders for an external purchase price in the change orders tab of the external purchase prices page. If there's an update to the existing external purchase prices, for example, these are the updates, then the change orders and subsequent results are as follows:

Summary of changes in Purchase Agreements due to the updates:

Now that there is an external purchase price from Local source type for MPN2003, the line with this item is end dated from Purchase Agreement for Supplier1001 and the item will be added to the Purchase Agreement for Supplier1002.

The line with MPN2004 will be end dated in the Purchase Agreement created for Supplier Supplier1002, because the line is canceled in the external purchase Price. The item will now be added to the Purchase Agreement with Supplier Supplier1003, the only external purchase price now available with local source type.

For MPN2007, due to the price update, the lowest price 75.00 is now available in External Purchase Price 3002. Hence, the line with this item will be end-dated in the purchase agreement with supplier Supplier1003 and a new line will be added with this item in the purchase agreement with supplier Supplier1002.
- For MPN2008, due to the price update, the line with this item is updated with the new price in the purchase agreement with Supplier1003.
