Ongoing Negotiations Section

The Ongoing Negotiations section of the Negotiation work area Overview page provides a quick and efficient way, to access and to work on all ongoing negotiations for which the user is either the owner or a collaboration team member.

Using the Ongoing Negotiations section, users can:

  • Analyze the negotiation

  • Award the negotiation

  • Generate and view a .pdf version of the buyer facing information

  • Monitor the negotiation

Negotiations in the following statuses are considered as ongoing.

  • Preview

  • Active

  • Paused

  • Closed

  • Award in progress

  • Award completed

  • Allocation in progress

  • Allocation failed

  • Completed, purchasing document creation process initiated

  • Completed, purchasing document creation process failed

  • Completed, purchasing document creation process reinitiated

Sealed Negotiations

For negotiations with a sealed response style, additional statuses are included in the above list relating to locked or sealed context.

How You Track Negotiation Lifecycle Activities

As category managers and collaboration team members, you can track negotiation activities throughout the negotiation lifecycle.

The negotiation activities are available in the enhanced user experience format as a timeline view and a list view where you can also download the entire activity log in MS Excel.

Starting with draft creation, all negotiation actions are recorded, which include, publish, close, extend, amendment, new round, and award. Additionally, actions performed by team members during scoring and response analysis are also recorded and displayed in the timeline.

You can track these activities:

  • Negotiation lifecycle activities like create, publish, close, award, create purchasing documents, download negotiation documents and attachments, and reassign negotiation
  • Track negotiation creation activities liCke requirements, lines, , suppliers
  • Collaboration team member activities like track changes related to addition, updating, deletion of collaboration team members, scoring, and task completion
  • Response activities like surrogate response creation and submission, download response documents and attachments, and disqualify response
  • Supplier activities like invite additional suppliers, locking out a supplier, and unlocking a supplier
  • Sending messages
  • Track REST activities
  • Large negotiation like trigger asynchronous processes, import negotiation lines, award, and so on
