Assign Custom Transaction Account Definition to Subledger Accounting

To create a custom Transaction Account Definition, follow these steps:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, in the Tasks tab, click Search.

  2. On the Search page, search for Define Transaction Account Rules and click the task.

  3. Set the scope to Purchasing and click Manage Transaction Account Types link.

  4. Click Manage Transaction Account Definition.

  5. To create a custom Transaction Account Definition, click Create.

  6. On the Create Transaction Account Definition page, assign amount combination rules and segment rules to all the transaction account types and click Save.

  7. To activate the Transaction Account Definition, click Activate.

Now, to assign the custom Transaction Account Definition to an SLA, follow these steps:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, to associate custom Transaction Account Definition with a leger, search for Define Transaction Account Rules and click the task.

  2. Set the scope to Purchasing and click Manage Subledger Accounting Options link.

  3. Search for the Ledger.

  4. Select Purchasing as the component type and edit the Accounting Options. By default, for the Purchasing subledger application, every ledger in the application is associated with the Purchasing Transaction Account Builder default accounting.

  5. Change it to a new Transaction Account Definition that you have created and click Save.
