What's XML?

An eXtensible Markup Language (XML) file is a general purpose markup language file with a set of rules for encoding documents in machine-readable form. XML is a subset of Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML).

The primary purpose of XML is to facilitate the sharing of data across different systems. The upload process parses and process XML files to load agreement lines and their associated attributes, provided that the XML files conform to the XML DTD.
