Configure a Connection to Symmetric

Before you can execute a search against Oracle Healthcare Marketplace, you must first configure a connection to Symmetric. Your organization needs to have an agreement with Symmetric and they will provide an instance URL, user name, and password.

Here are the steps to configure a connection to Symmetric:

1. Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area and search for the Manage Backends for Visual Builder Studio task.
   Note: You must have the Create and Edit Backends for Visual Builder Studio (ORA_FND_TRAP_PRIV) privilege.
2. To create a new back end connection, Click Create.
3. Provide these values for these attributes:
   • Extension ID: oracle_prc_procurementUI
   • Backend Name: healthcareMarketplace
   • Authentication: Basic
4. Enter the user name and password provided by Symmetric.
5. Enter the instance URL provided by Symmetric.
   Note: The instance URL must include the index name.
6. Click Update.
