About This Guide

This guide contains information about the subject areas in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence for Procurement. Each subject area provides detail on associated job and duty roles and the business questions that are addressed by the analytics built using that subject area.

  • Subject areas are the building blocks of the prebuilt analytics as well as the analytics you build to provide insights for your particular business needs. You can use the business questions to find the right subject areas when you build your own analytics.

  • Subject areas are built by grouping data in dimension directories that hold related columns of information that relate to each other in a particular context.

  • To control access to the subject areas, copy the predefined job roles associated to a subject area to create custom roles, and assign them to users. Keep in mind that job roles inherit duty roles.
