Configure the Oracle Analytics Publisher Report RTF Template

These instructions outline the steps to create a custom Oracle Analytics Publisher Report RTF template and upload the configured artefact to the Oracle Analytics Publisher server.

These instructions also include steps for copying and uploading the corresponding language translation XLF file for the custom Oracle Analytics Publisher Report RTF template.

  1. Copy the RTF report template to local drive.
    1. Sign in to Oracle Analytics Publisher with your credentials that have the privilege to modify the RTF template.
    2. Navigate to the seeded report and identify the report to configure and click Edit. The path is: /Supply Chain Management/Workflow Notifications/<Product>/<Report Name>.
    3. Click Edit to save the RTF template to your local drive.
    4. Rename the downloaded file to make it easier to identify the custom RTF template.
  2. Copy the report template translation file to the local drive.
    1. Click View a List, select the report and click the properties icon of the report.
    2. Based on the language pack, the corresponding XLIFF file will be available in the environment.
    3. Click the desired translation file to copy it to your local drive. For this document, the Korean language is selected.
    4. Rename the saved translation file locally to easily identify the XLF file.
  3. Configure the RTF report template.
    • Modify the RTF report template by editing the file locally. For this document, remove the highlighted section.
  4. Upload the custom RTF report template to the Oracle Analytics Publisher server.
    1. Navigate to the seeded report and click More and proceed with the customize option.
    2. The framework will automatically create a copy of the selected report in the Custom subfolder. The remaining path will remain the same.
      The path is: Custom/Supply Chain Management/Workflow Notifications/<Product>/<Report Name>
    3. Click Edit, then View a List, and then click the plus icon to upload the custom RTF report template.
    4. To identify the custom object, provide the layout name that identifies it as a custom RTF template.
      Note:

      If the data model is customized, update the data model link as well.

      Continue by setting the available output formats (HTML, PDF, and data XML), setting the default format to HTML, and selecting the custom RTF report template as the default layout, and click Save.

  5. Upload the Korean translation XLF file on the newly uploaded custom RTF template to the Oracle Analytics Publisher server.
    1. Select the custom report row and click its properties.
    2. Under the translations region proceed to click the upload icon and upload the translation file.
    Note:

    When a new version of the predefined RTF template is shipped:

    • • If you haven’t made any modifications to the previous predefined RTF template, the new version will be automatically used at runtime.
    • • If the predefined notification template has been modified, the new version of the predefined template won't be automatically used. In this case, if you need the new version, you will have to configure the new predefined RTF template and reapply the customization that were applied to the old version.
