POVs and Calculation Types

In Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud, points of view (POVs) are sets of dimensions that display a particular version of an application for a selected snapshot, such as year, period, and scenario. Rules control the calculations that are run against one or more POVs.

Basically, rules run and perform financial allocations according to how the rules are defined. For basic single-POV calculations, you select a point of view (POV) to calculate and its rules are applied to its own data (a single-POV calculation).

You also can apply the rules from one POV against the data for one or more different POVs (multi-POV calculations).
