Overview of Common Project Execution Options

Tasks that are common across Project Execution Management functional areas are grouped into the Define Common Project Execution Options task list. You can perform these tasks once and they're applicable in all relevant functional areas.

Manage Project User Provisioning	Yes	Create and update users and assign enterprise roles.
Manage Project Roles	No	Create and update roles that are used to control access to project-level information and for defining project resource requests.
Manage Project Enterprise Resources	No	Create and update enterprise resources to assign to projects, tasks, issues, and deliverables.
Manage Project Shifts	No	Configure shifts to represent a time period that determines how many hours you work on a day.
Manage Project Workday Patterns	No	Configure workday patterns to represent a collection of one or more shifts over a number of days. A pattern repeats for a specific date range to define the complete schedule.
Manage Project Schedules	No	Configure schedules to define the actual calendar dates worked, and the pattern shifts to apply to those dates worked. The date range in a schedule is defined by a schedule start date and a schedule end date.
Manage Project Schedule Exceptions	No	Configure schedule exceptions to define deviations in availability from a schedule.
