Create Override Burden Schedules

Optionally, at the award project level, you can create a burden schedule specific to the award project. If no burden schedule is assigned to the award project, then the award's burden schedule is applied to the award project.

To create an override burden schedule:

  1. On the Manage Award Projects page, expand the award project.

  2. Click the Financial tab.

  3. Click the Create Override Burden Schedule icon.

  4. On the Manage Override Burden Schedule page, complete the fields as appropriate. For example, you can add a multiplier or change the burden structure for the desired burden schedule version.

    Note: Most of the burden schedule information is copied from the burden schedule that's currently assigned to the award project. If no burden schedule is assigned to the award project, then the information is copied from the burden schedule that's assigned to the award. Burden schedule information is copied if the burden structure is valid for the current date and there's a valid burden schedule version for the award start date. If the burden structure has ended, none of the details are copied.
  5. Click Build Burden Schedule to use the burden rate that you defined for the award project.

  6. Click Save and Close.
