Update Funding and the Related Contract

You can update the contract from the Award Funding page using the Update Contract button. Awards must be in the draft, under amendment, active, or expired status to update a contract with the funding amount changes.

A sponsor changed funding amounts and you want to record the changes.
  1. Navigate to Grants Management > Awards > Manage Awards.
  2. Find the award and click Edit.
  3. Click the Funding train stop.
  4. Update funding amounts and allocations for the external funding source.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Click Update Contract.
    The Update Contract UI displays one or more contract lines and their associated projects.
  7. Enter your new contract line amount and the contract version description for one or more contract lines.
  8. Update associated projects for the contract lines as needed.
  9. Click Save for a draft contract or Submit for other contract statuses.
    When you submit a contract that's active or expired, the contract is amended and submitted for approval. Contracts in Draft or Under Amendment status are updated and you can then choose to submit them for approval.
