What's the overspent amount for an award?

The application calculates the award project overspent amount by considering the amount spent and elapsed time in conjunction with the settings specified in the burn rate thresholds of the Manage Grants Management Business Unit Implementation Options page.

The following image describes the formula used to calculate overspent amount.

Overspent Amount equals consumed amount minus, left parenthesis, budget amount, multiplied by time spent percentage, multiplied by threshold value, right parenthesis.

The time spent percentage is the ratio of days spent to the total number of days.
