How Project Calendars Are Mapped to Program Calendars

You select the program calendar and mapping method using the Manage Program Options task in the Setup and Maintenance work area. Let's say the program uses the standard monthly calendar and the project uses the fiscal 4-4-5 calendar.

Here's a table explaining how project periods map to program periods if their calendars are different.

Example of calendar mapping between project and programs

Period Name: Feb-FY2022 Period Start Date: January 30 Period End Date: February 26	Period Name: Jan-2022 Period Start Date: January 1 Period End Date: January 31	If you select the mapping method as start date, then January 30 is compared to the program period start and end dates to find the period that includes it. In this example, the project period Feb-FY2022 will map to Jan-2022 in the program calendar.
	Period Name: Feb-2022 Period Start Date: February 1 Period End Date: February 28	If you select the mapping method as end date, then February 26 is compared to the program period start and end dates to find the period that includes it.
