Set Up and Access the Project Change Order Initiation Assistant
This topic provides the setup and security guidance needed to use the assistant, including opt-in, permission groups, and required privileges.
Before you start
Make sure the Change Order Generation from Project Issue feature is enabled through Opt In for Project Execution Management, and that the users who will use it have the required permission groups and privileges.
To access this feature, complete the following steps:
- Enable the Change Order Generation from Project Issue feature through Opt In in the Project Execution Management offering in Setup and Maintenance.
- Enable the required permission groups in Security Console for each role that you want to use with this feature.
To enable permission groups:
- Navigate to Navigator > Tools > Security Console and click Roles.
- Search for the job role you want to use with the AI-assisted feature and select Edit Role.
- On the Basic Information page, click Enable Permission Groups, and confirm your choice.
- Open the Role Hierarchy step. If needed, go to the Roles and Permission Groups tab and add the required feature-specific duty role and any required runtime duty role.
- Click Summary, then click Save and Close.
If your organization uses custom roles, add the appropriate feature-specific AI assistance duty role to those custom roles as needed, and then enable permission groups for those roles in Security Console.
To use this assistant, you need the following duty role and privileges:
- Project Change Order Initiation Assistant (ORA_PRJ_PJE_CHANGE_ORDER_INITIATION_ASSISTANT_TEAM) duty role
- Manage Project Work Plan Data (PJT_MANAGE_WORK_PLAN_DATA) data privilege
- Manage Project Changes (PJE_MANAGE_PROJECT_CHANGE_PRIV) privilege to perform change-order impact assessment, review, and approval for budget adjustments.
This duty role and these privileges are included with the seeded Project Manager job role.
