Setting Up Credential Groups

Your agency can collect credential information specific to a business license during the origination, amendment, and renewal application processes. After setting up the credential attributes and layouts, you group credentials to associate them with a business license. You must complete this setup before you can reference the credential group on the business license application design form.

  1. Select Common Setup > Credential Groups.

  2. On the Group Details page, enter values for the following fields:

    Page Element

    Description

    Group ID

    Enter a group ID.

    Group Name and Description

    Enter the group name and description.

    Usage

    Displays Business License to indicate that these credentials apply to business licenses only.

    Effective Start Date and Effecitve End Date

    Enter the start and end dates that the group definition is effective.

    Enabled

    Turn on the Enabled switch to make this group available for use.

  3. Add credentials to the group in the Credentials section. Only credentials that you set up on the Credentials page are available to select here.

    Select the credential name from the list of credentials that you enabled on the Credentials page. The description is displayed.

    View Required Attributes

    Click the link to view the required attributes.

    Applies To

    Select one or more application types for which this credential information will be collected:

    • Origination

    • Amendment

    • Renewal

    Enabled

    Turn on the Enabled switch to make this credential setup active.

  4. Use the Add and Delete action buttons to add or delete credential rows.

Setting Up the Business License Application

After defining the credential group, you associate the group with the business license on the business license form design.

  1. On the Design Business License Application page for the business license type, add the Credentials field group to the form.

  2. In the Element Attributes, select the group name from the Credential Group drop-down list.

    The credentials defined in the group appear on the form.

  3. Select the types of applications where you want to collect the credential information in the License Activity fields: Origination, Amendment, and Renewal.
