Setting Up GIS Feature Services
You add URLs to editable feature services on the feature service setup page. The feature service allows editing using REST APIs.
The feature service is used to draw the location of a reference entity on the map when the feature service is associated with the reference entity type.
The reference entity feature is for internal testing and demonstration. Reference entities are planned for support in a future release.
An editable feature service is needed for Oracle Permitting and Licensing to write on ESRI maps, such as to draw a reference entity location. You set up GIS feature services to reference before you set up GIS mapping.
Here's how to add GIS feature services:
-
In the Navigator, select
. -
On the Reference Entity Feature Services setup page, click the Add (+) button.

Page Element Description ID

Enter the short name and description of the reference service.

Click the Export button to download a list of feature services on the page.
