Setting Up Safe Domains

Safe domains are used to maintain a list of website links and image links which are safe to be added in the rich text editor. You add, enable, and delete domains on the Safe Domains page.

Agency users and registered public users use the rich text editors while entering comments. These may sometimes contain text or image links to third-party websites. Safe domains allow agencies to maintain a list of domains which are safe to be referenced in rich text editors.

To set up a new safe domain:

  1. In the Functional Setup Manager, select Setup: Public Sector <Offering> > Functional Area: System Administration > Task: Manage Safe Domains.

  2. On the Safe Domains page, click the + Add Safe Domain button.

  3. On the New safe domain drawer, enter values for the following fields:

    Domain Name

    Enter the domain name to be added to the safe domains list.

    Once a domain name is added, all subdomains sharing the same ending and extension will also be included in the safe domains list.

    For example, if the newly added domain name is https://www.agency, then the sub domain names, such as https://www.sub.agency, https://www.agency/home, https://www.xyzagency.com/home will also be included in the safe domains list.

    Enabled

    Turn the switch on to add the new domain to the safe domains list.

    Include image

    Turn the switch on to include the image resource type for the safe domain.

    Include link

    Turn the switch on to include the link resource type for the safe domain.

  4. Click Save.
