Hiding Tiles

You can hide a tile from a landing page without deleting the delivered menu link.

To hide a tile, edit the menu link that controls the tile and set the Show On field to None.

You can use these steps to hide a tile on the registered user landing page, such as Request Inspections, Apply, Search, or another registered landing page item.

  1. Sign in to Oracle Fusion with a user account that has both of the required roles: PSC Registered Public User and PSC System Administrator.

Hiding tiles requires access to registered public user landing page content and administrative setup.

  2. Click the user avatar on the newsfeed home page to open the Settings and Actions menu.

  3. Under Administration, select the Setup and Maintenance link.

  4. In the Functional Setup Manager, select Setup: Public Sector Permits > Functional Area: Branding > Task: Manage Tiles for Registered User Landing Page.

Use this task for tiles that appear after a registered public user signs in. Use Manage Tiles for Anonymous User Landing Page only for tiles that appear before sign-in.

  5. On the Configure Menu Structure page, select Products in the Menu drop-down list.

  6. Click the Open Menu button.

  7. In the menu structure, expand the Registered Landing Page Data section.

  8. Select the link that matches the tile you want to hide.

For example, if you’re hiding the Request Inspections tile, confirm that the label is Request Inspections in the parent folder Registered Landing Page Data.

  9. Click the Edit button.

  10. On the Link Details page, select None in the Show On drop-down list.

    Note:

Oracle recommends making this change first in a test environment before applying it in production. Note the original value in the Show On field in case the original value needs to be restored.

  11. Click Save and Close.

Validate the update by logging in as a registered user in a new browser session. Confirm that the tile isn't displayed on the registered public user's landing page. If the tile still appears, refresh the page, clear browser cache, or sign in again. Also confirm that the registered user landing page task was edited, not the anonymous user landing page task.
