Connect to external MCP servers from AI Agent Studio

You can now use the Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool and securely connect to external MCP servers from AI Agent Studio. To create an MCP tool, you can select MCP as the tool type in AI Agent Studio.

MCP provides a standardised, bi-directional protocol for exchanging structured requests and responses between the agent and an external tool. You can connect to MCP-compliant servers, and leverage their capabilities inside agent workflows, without building additional REST wrappers or plugin logic.

Steps to Enable and Configure

You must have access to AI Agent Studio and the MCP endpoint of the external system.
