Use the Approval Process Channel for Human Approval Nodes in AI Agent Studio

You can now use the approval process channel to manage approvals in agentic flows through a structured, reusable framework. Create approval processes in the Approvals tab and then associate them with human approval nodes by selecting the Approval Process channel.

Approval processes determine how approval requests are routed, who must approve them, how approvers are notified, and which rules or conditions apply. At runtime, the workflow is paused while the request is routed through the selected approval process and resumes after the required approval outcome is received.

The approval process channel enables organizations to improve governance, consistency, and compliance while supporting complex approval scenarios. It allows approval requests to follow predefined approval levels, approver rules, manager chains, notification channels, and conditional routing logic. By integrating reusable approval processes with the human approval node, organizations can simplify approval maintenance, improve visibility for approvers, and keep agentic flows moving through time limits and controlled approval iterations.
