What do the values in Impact to Existing Processes and Action to Enable in the Readiness reports mean?

For those capabilities that are delivered enabled we tell you about the type of impact in Impact to Existing Processes:

  • A large scale impact indicates we've made complex changes that will have a high potential impact on your users.
  • A small scale impact indicates we've made minor changes to fields, validations or programs that will have a low impact on your users.
  • A report indicates that there's a new or changed report available that will have minimal to no impact on your users.

For those capabilities that are delivered disabled, we tell you the type of setup action you need to perform in Action to Enable:

  • Application Composer adjustments to expose: indicates there are enablement steps for this feature that you undertake in Application Composer.
  • BI Subject Areas: indicates there are new BI subject areas that will now be available to you to use to further enhance your reporting.
  • Opt In: indicates there's an Opt In function that needs to be switched on to use this feature.
  • Opt In Plus Setup: indicates that not only do you need to switch on the Opt In function but there are subsequent steps to enable and configure this feature.
  • Potential Setup: indicates there are prerequisite or optional configuration to consider and if previously completed means the feature is delivered enabled.
  • REST APIs: indicates there are new or changed REST APIs that you can take advantage to enhance your integration capabilities.
  • Security Adjustment: indicates there are new access controls to enable access to this new feature.
  • Service Request Required: indicates you need to raise a Service Request with Oracle Support to request use of this feature.
  • Setup Required: indicates there are steps to enable and configure this feature in order to use it.
  • Visual Builder: indicates there are enablement steps for this feature that you undertake in Visual Builder.
