Complete Work Order Operation Quantities into Inventory During Work Execution at a Workstation
Welcome to the demo of the 25B feature Complete Work Order Operation Quantities into Inventory During Work Execution at a Workstation. Accurate and real-time inventory tracking is crucial for production efficiency and compliance.
With this update, production operators get an enhanced unified user experience to perform completion into inventory transactions. They can complete operation transactions into inventory by entering details of the subinventory and locator for the completed quantities. For items that are serial or lot control, production operators can generate the serial and lot number and assign to the finished goods if required.
Now let's look at a demo scenario for this feature. I will launch the Execute Production at a Workstation task in Work Execution work area. I will then select a workstation and check into it. I will pick a work order operation and start execution. When ready, I will report the operation completion transaction along with an inventory transaction for the finished good.
Now let's get into the demo. I launch the Execute Production at a Workstation task in Work Execution work area. I select my workstation and check into it.
I select the work order M1-1377. This is for the item AYY-ATPLOT-ACT-ASSY1. The operation is number 20 assemble and pack. Since this is the last work order operation of this work order, we would also be reporting output to inventory.
Under the Operations actions, we can see that output reporting is required to complete this work order operation. I click on Start to begin execution.
After completing my work, I am ready to report a completion transaction. This is the last work order operation of this work order. Since the work method of this work order is discrete, finished goods would be reported into inventory upon reporting of operation completion transaction.
I click on Complete. I skip past the batch material step since I have no materials to report. I am now presented with the inventory transaction reporting step.
Since our assembly item is serial-controlled and serial generation is dynamic at receipt, I need to generate serial numbers for the two quantities that I am completing before it can be reported into inventory. I click on Generate Serial to generate the serial number for the first quantity.
If the item was lot controlled or required apparent lot, those buttons would also be activated for operator to create those numbers. I can also specify the subinventory and locator where this item should be placed.
Additional information or the descriptive flexfields for the inventory transaction can also be entered by the operator on the screen. I generate the serial number for the second quantity. I click on Submit and report the inventory transaction. The inventory transaction is now reported, and the item is placed in the inventory.
You can also verify details of this transaction in the production supervisor workbench under the transaction history for this work order.
