Explore the new Visual Builder Studio Business Rules in the Benefits Self-Service Landing Page
Hello, and welcome to this 25B demonstration of Oracle Cloud Benefits Self-Service Landing Page Business Rules. With these new features you will be able to use visual builder studio to extend the pages behavior using page properties. Businesses need greater flexibility and control over the benefits self-service experience to improve clarity and drive employee engagement.
Using visual builder studio to customize page behavior gives greater flexibility and improved functionality.
During this demonstration I will teach you how visual builder studio can help you personalize the benefits landing page by:
- Modifying the background color, background image or foreground image on the banner,
- Modify or remove the Need Help/Contact Us regions,
- Hide the Support tab,
- Hide quick actions,
- Hide the print all benefits button,
- Show dependent and beneficiaries person number,
- and Show the total cost region for flex programs.
I will be making changes on the benefits self-service landing page, so I will navigate to me, and then benefits. To enter visual builder studio I will go to settings and actions and then select Edit page in visual builder studio. Once the visual builder studio edit page opens I will verify I am in express mode.
Let’s start with updating the delivered banner.
Here I see the defaulted foreground image, background image and color. To modify the banner I will go to Page Properties and scroll down to find the bannerforegroundimageURL attribute. I will paste in my URL image, tabbing out I will see the change.
To change the background image, stay in the page properties area locate the bannerbackgroundimage url attribute, paste in my URL image, tabbing out I will see the change.
To change the background color in the page properties area I will locate the bannerbackground color attribute, clicking on the information icon will show me the supported colors. Let’s use dark-pine, tabbing out I can see the change.
I have modified the self-service benefits banner.
Now let’s look to see how we can remove or modify the Help Need, Contact US region on the self-service landing page and the support pages.
In the page properties area, scroll down and locate the show default need help attribute, change the true value to false. This will hide the need help contact us region.
To Customize the Need Help Contact Us region in the page properties area locate the show custom need help attribute, change the false value to true. Scrolling down I now see the defaulted text.
I can enter a custom title, locate the custom need help title enter in your title, such as Benefits Questions? Tabbing out I will see the change.
And I can add in custom text in the custom need help default text attribute. This can be normal text or you can use HTML code. Let’s copy in some text, tabbing out we will see the change here.
You can also add a journey for more detailed information using the need help journey task code or the need help journey code. Simply paste in your journey code. I will tab out and I will see my journey hyper-links.
To verify the journey links, I will click on the preview icon, this will open up a new browser window. Once the preview page opens verify clicking on the hyper-links opens a drawer and the information is listed correct. If I am happy with my testing, I will return to visual builder studio edit page and I will click on publish. You can now hide the support tab on the benefits self-service landing page by going to the page properties, locate the Hide support tab on self-service landing page attribute. Change the false value to true, tabbing out I now see that the tab has been removed.
Three new attributes have been added to allow you to hide quick actions on the benefits landing page. In the page properties area, I will scroll up to show change beneficiaries attribute, I will change the true value to false.
And I can see that the quick action has been removed from the listing.
I can also hide the show beneficiary organizations attribute by changing the true value to false. And the show person info attribute by changing the true value to false. Both of these quick actions have been removed from the listing.
The Review employee resources and temporary ID card can also be hidden using a sandbox. I will not be reviewing that in this demonstration. The last three changes are made within the view all enrollments page. To navigate to this page, go to the visual builder studio filters area and search for benefits summary.
Once the page opens I can see three new attributes added to the page properties area. The Hide print all benefits button on the view all enrollments page, the show dependent and beneficiary person number on the view all enrollment page, and the show total cost region for flex programs on the view all enrollments page. Let’s change the false value to true on each of these.
I can now see that the print all benefits button has been removed. I can see the show total cost per pay period for my flex program has been added.
And as I scroll down I can that the person number has been added to my designated dependents.
This concludes this demonstration. Thank you for watching.
