Redwood: Use Improved Capabilities in the Responsive Self-Service Receiving Application
Welcome to the demo of the 25B Redwood feature, use improved capabilities in the responsive self-service receiving application. With this feature, you can view search results in a table format and export to spreadsheet. You can search by additional attributes, including requester, enter by, receive by, and project. You can search for purchase orders across all business units. And you can also view source documents such as receipts, purchase orders, and transfer orders.
This feature provides a complete solution, enabling you to manage your self-service receipts in your organization. And finally, these changes provide you with a more efficient way to create and manage your direct procurement orders and receipts. This demo will cover two scenarios, review improved capabilities in the orders to receive page and review improved capabilities in the my receipts page.
Let's start on the procurement home page. We'll access self-service receiving by clicking the navigation tile, my receipts new. My receipts new is enabled using the receiving profile option Redwood self-service receiving pages enabled. Once you click the my receipts new menu entry, you will be taken to the orders to receive page.
In release 25B, we have introduced a table layout, allowing you to easily view your search results. You can add and remove columns to customize the search results to meet your specific requirements. To view search results in a table layout, you must enable the receiving profile option, view search results in table using responsive self-service receiving. You can click on the export icon to download the search results in a spreadsheet.
One of the common requirements is to search for a document across multiple requisitioning BU's. For example, you have a purchase order and you want to search across requisitioning BU's. With this enhancement, you can now search by the purchase order and identify which requisitioning BU the purchase order resides. To enable searching across multiple requisitioning BU's, you must enable the receiving profile option, search across business units using responsive self-service receiving.
You can now search by requester. This is particularly beneficial when you use a centralized receiving approach, where you are receiving on behalf of others. Along with the requester, you can see the number of orders to receive. You can also search by the individual that entered the order. In the event the order is associated with a project, you can search by the project number.
Additional attributes have been added to the new receipt draw. For example, you can view the invoice quantity or invoiced amount to date for a given order. The requisitioning BU has also been added to the new receipt drawer. Both the purchase order and transfer order are exposed as links on the orders to receive page. You can click on the document link to access a view only page to view the document details.
Once you click on the purchase order link, the purchase order page will be displayed, allowing you to view details such as the purchase order life cycle. When receiving orders with multiple distributions, you can now view the charge account associated with each distribution line.
In the next demo scenario, we will review the improved capabilities in the my receipts page. Like the orders to receive page, you can view the my receipts search results in a table layout. You can click on the export icon to download the search results in a spreadsheet. You can also add and remove columns to customize the search results to meet your specific requirements.
You can search by the attribute received by to display the name of the individual that received the order. You can review the attribute received by in the view receipt page, return drawer and update drawer. The receipt number is exposed as a link on the my receipts page, allowing you to view the receipt summary and receiving transaction history.
You can view the receipt summary information such as shipment details and associated receipt lines. Click the information icon to view the receiving transaction history. In the receiving transaction history page, you can review details such as transaction type, transaction date, and transacted by. This completes the demo. Thank you.
This is the end of the featured demo. Thank you.
