Report Ad Hoc and Planned Additional Outputs for Discrete Manufacturing Work Order Operations When Executing Production at a Workstation

Welcome to the demo of the 25B feature Report Ad Hoc and Planned Additional Outputs for Discrete Manufacturing Work Order Operations When Executing Production at a Workstation.

Discrete manufacturing processes can sometimes include more than one output. With this update, production operators can report ad hoc and planned additional outputs for discrete manufacturing work orders. These can be reported into inventory as supply as reusable material for subsequent work orders, or as recoverable scrap sold as separate item. This ensures enhanced overall operator productivity through a unified experience for reporting output transactions.

Now, let's look at a quick demo scenario for this feature. I will launch the execute production at a workstation task in work execution work area, select a workstation and check into it, select a work order operation and start execution. I will then report an ad hoc output for the work order operation. I will also report an automatic output while reporting operation transaction.

Now, let's get into the demo. I launch the execute production at a workstation task in work execution work area. I check into the workstation. I select the work order M12925 for the item FIT5000.

Operation 10 Assemble Flex Deck can be executed at this workstation. I look at the details of the work order operation and click on Start to begin execution.

To report a planned additional output of type manual, or an ad hoc output, I click on Report Output Action. I can see a planned additional output, AYY-ATPLOT-Grease defined for this work order operation. The expected quantity shown here as 10 is derived from the expected units defined in the work order operation.

I can add an ad hoc output by scanning or selecting a component. I select AYY-AT-BON as the additional output. Both the outputs have been added as outputs of type by product. I confirm my two transact quantity and click on Submit to report the output transaction.

Ad hoc outputs and planned additional outputs can also be reported as a part of the operation transaction reporting flow. I click on Complete to report an operation transaction. Skipping past the Backflush Materials step, I am presented with the output transactions page. Here I can see the automatic output that is going to be reported for this work order operation. If required, I can also add an ad hoc output in this step.

Our outputs that are controlled components, serial numbers, or lot numbers can also be generated from this step. I click on Submit to report the output transaction. Details for the transaction can be viewed in the Production Supervisor Workbenches Work Orders tab and looking for the work orders transaction history.
