Report Material Transactions for a Work Order Operation with Additional Capabilities

Welcome to the demo of the 25A feature Report Material Transactions for a Work Order Operation with Additional Capabilities in Oracle Fusion Cloud Manufacturing. With this feature, you can now capture additional information in item, lot, and serial descriptive flexfields. You can scan serials while returning materials, validate and use lot and serials based on item revisions, and control additional material issues using the Redwood Experience.

It addresses the need to maintain additional information related to components, and ensure that the right components are used in the right quantities at a work order operation. Using a modern and responsive user interface, you can quickly enter the details required to report material transactions, thus allowing you to focus more on production activities. In this demo, we will see how you can enter and maintain additional information in item, lot, and serial descriptive flexfields for a component issue to a work order.

First, we will log in to the Work Execution Overview page. Being in the Work Execution Overview page, we will click on the report material transactions task to navigate to the material transactions user interface in Redwood. In this page, we need to scan or select the work order number, the operation sequence number, and finally, the product serial number for which we would be reporting material usage. First, let's select the work order number.

After selecting the work order number, we will now select the operation sequence number. Next, we will select the serial number for which we will report material transactions. The serial number has been selected. Now we will click on the Next button to report the material transactions.

As you can see here, the report material transactions page is rendered in Redwood. For the component CM65039 that needs to be issued, we will select a lot number. Next, we will select a serial number. Next, we will enter additional information for the component in the item, serial, and lot descriptive flexfields that have been previously configured and deployed.

As you can see here, the item, serial, and lot descriptive flexfields are displayed. First, we will enter the item related information, we will enter the supplier part number. Next, we will select a color. Having entered the item-related details, we will now enter the serial-related information, we will select the manufacture date and then the quality control status.

As far as the additional information related to the lot is concerned, as you can see, the batch code that was captured earlier for the lot is displayed here. We will now save the details that we entered. Next, we will report the material transaction by clicking on the Save and Close button.

As you can see here, the material transaction has been successfully saved and a toast message is displayed confirming the same. This is how additional information is entered and captured while reporting material transactions using the Redwood Experience. This concludes the feature demo. Thank you for watching.
