EPM Spotlight Features

Be sure to review the details of significant feature(s) being introduced.

  • Enterprise Data Management now includes a built-in data matching engine that supports fuzzy matching based upon a rule based approach that is data source aware. The new engine extends Enterprise Data Management's ability to match, link and merge records from external data sources. New features include:
    • Configuration of both registered and unregistered data sources
    • Match rule definition by node type and data source to enable entity resolution
    • Survivorship rules by node type and data source to rationalize properties from source to target master
    • Match merge workbench to resolve suspects and resolve the best matches for duplicate resolution
    • Relationship rationalization within hierarchy viewpoints to insert or move nodes under parents in the target and update relationship properties across scenarios when shared nodes either enabled or disabled
    • Visualize node lineage based upon node links generated when nodes are blended from data sources into a master record or when they are propagated from a master to a downstream application via subscriptions
  • In Narrative Reporting, Reports now provides the ability to utilize Generative AI (GenAI) for generating narrative summaries in a text box. It can be used for the following three use cases:
    • Describe exceptions: Describe the cell(s) where a condition is satisfied. For example, a grid cell that satisfies the variance threshold defined by the report designer as a condition.
    • Describe the causality for exceptions: Examine one of the relevant cell dimensions where the condition was satisfied and describe the top 3 contributors to it.
    • Do a comparative analysis: If the grid has prior time periods in the columns, describe the cell value in comparison to the prior period.

Business Benefit: Spotlight features are important enhancements that can significantly impact the EPM Cloud user experience.
