Consolidation Setting for Year-to-Date FX Calculation Logic
A new consolidation setting is available to control Year-to-Date FX calculation logic on historical accounts in the consolidation script for Movements. When the consolidation setting is enabled, and when the account is Historical, no adjustment is made for the prior period FX on Opening Balance and FX on Movements for all individual accounts, FCCS_OBFXCTA, FCCS_OBFXCICTA, and FCCS_Retained Earnings Prior. YTDFX will be enabled for the first year, so in the first year (except for the first period), the account will use YTD FX calculations.
When you create a new application, the YTDFxRevised setting is available on the Consolidation Settings page under “Consolidation/Translation” Type. The default value is False. For an existing application, you must run the Migration configuration task to migrate the existing substitution variable to Consolidation Settings.
Business Benefit: This consolidation setting enables you to specify the calculation logic method for Historical accounts and prior periods.
