Setting the Solve Order at the Dimension Level

You can now set the Solve Order at the dimension root level in both Hybrid BSO and ASO cubes. This does not apply to non-hybrid BSO cubes.

Note:

  • A higher solve order means the member is calculated later. For example, a member with a solve order of 1 is solved before a member with a solve order of 2.

  • The minimum solver order you can set is 0, and the maximum is 127.

  • Dynamic members (with or without formulas) that do not have a specified solve order inherit the solve order of their dimension, unless they are tagged as two pass.

  • Member level solve order will overrule the setting at the root level it if is changed later at the member level.

Business Benefit: This gives you more control over the solve order in your Hybrid BSO and ASO cubes.
