Fixed Width Extract Column Options

Viewpoint extracts configured to produce a fixed width column format offer additional settings to customize the output for specific extract columns.  These options override the default settings for fixed width extract columns and can be applied differently on a column by column basis.  The following column level options are available:

  • Width: Specifies the column width in number of characters
  • Pad Char: Defines the character used for padding values
  • Pad Mode:Identifies whether to apply padding on the left or right side

Business Benefit: Fixed width extract columns can be tailored to satisfy specific file format requirements for particular target systems.
