New Skills for Core Infrastructure Management Including Security, Audit, Migration, Activity Reporting, Essbase Diagnostics, and Concurrent Testing

In this update, Oracle introduces new Cloud EPM AI Skills for Access Administration, Audit and Activity Reporting, Files and Snapshots, Environment Maintenance, Security Setting, Essbase Diagnostics and Exports, Query Limits, and Concurrent Usage Testing. These skills let you use natural language to ask questions, explore business data, and prepare supported administrative actions, and require exact approval before most operations that change state or start work.

The Core AI skills support Oracle Cloud EPM infrastructure administration across the following 11 functional areas through validated REST operations.

  • Access Control and Identity Reports skill helps you review access permissions, assignments, and login history.  Supported reports include user and group role assignments, user-to-group assignments, user logins, invalid logins, user access, and assignment audits.
  • Environment, Services and Maintenance skill helps you manage service operations, maintenance schedules, environment recovery, and communications. This skill supports service inspection and environment operations such as reading the daily maintenance time settings and build version, inspecting session timeout and skipped updates, and reviewing email-domain policy. It also supports registered operations for maintenance changes, service restart or recreation, environment cloning and restoration, outbound EPM email, and feedback submission.
  • Essbase Block Analysis skill helps generate diagnostic information about Essbase blocks (block analysis report) and check the associated diagnostic job status. It is useful when a Service Administrator needs block-level evidence as part of investigating cube storage or performance.
  • Essbase Data Export skill enables you to extract cube data for downstream use.
  • Files, Object Storage, and  SFTP skill helps you manage repository files and supported transfers. You can list repository files, download a selected file, prepare an upload, delete a selected file or custom inbox folder, and prepare copies between EPM and supported Object Storage, SFTP, or another EPM instance.
  • Identity and Access Management skill helps you manage user identities, groups, memberships, and role assignments. Service Administrators can inspect available roles, list users and EPM groups, and prepare changes such as creating a group, adding members, or updating role assignments.
  • Migration and Application Snapshots skill helps you manage lifecycle management activities related to application snapshots, artifacts migration, and transfer of backups.  It can list snapshots, categories, artifacts, history, available backups, and import options, as well as prepare supported exports, imports, copies, and snapshot renaming.
  • Query Governor Settings skill helps you manage the Essbase query execution-time settings. This skill gives Service Administrators a focused way to inspect the configured query time limit and review a proposed adjustment.
  • Security Administration skill enables you to manage selected environment security controls: virus scanning on upload, restricted data access for Provide Feedback, Oracle manual database access, and the environment encryption key. 
  • Simulate Concurrent Usage skill helps you run defined concurrent-user workloads, including starting a concurrent-usage simulation using an uploaded definition file and checking simulation job status.
  • User Activity Reports skill helps you list and retrieve access logs and environment activity reports. You can list log or report records, download an Access Log as a CSV file, filter access records using supported fields, or retrieve the latest or a selected JSON Activity Report.

All Core features use the shared authentication skill and honor the rights and permissions set in the linked Cloud EPM environment for the user invoking the skill.
