Support for Substitution Variables in PCM Agent Clear POV, Copy POV, Delete POV, and Calculate Model Commands
PCM Agent now supports the use of substitution variables in Clear POV, Copy POV, Delete POV, and Calculate Model commands. When you use a substitution variable instead of specifying a specific value in a PCM Agent command, you can save the command as a job to use later without having to change the job definition. These substitution variables are resolved at runtime, and the job executes accordingly.
Business Benefit: When you use substitution variables in PCM Agent, you do not need to modify the user request each time you run a job. For example, if you wanted to run a calculation job every month, you could use a substitution variable like &currPeriod and configure its value in the user interface. In subsequent months, you would not need to update the saved job’s POV parameters, or any automation processes, as long as you update the substitution variable value.
