Upper-Level Data Entry in FreeForm Grids

In FreeForm application grids, you can now enter and adjust data directly at parent (upper-level) members, without custom scripting or workarounds.

This capability streamlines top-down planning, enabling planners to quickly input, allocate, and refine summary-level targets in the same way as traditional Essbase solutions. By supporting upper-level write back, FreeForm apps empower organizations with greater flexibility, efficiency, and alignment in their planning and forecasting processes.

Steps to enable and configure

To enable this feature, select Upper Level Write Back in Application Settings in the FreeForm application.
