Auto Predict and Predictive Planning: Improvement in Accuracy Calculation

The prediction accuracy calculation for Auto Predict and Predictive Planning predictions is now simplified. Previously, the accuracy calculation for univariate predictions was a complex calculation that varied by algorithm. The new calculation is simpler and generic for all algorithms.

The prediction accuracy calculation is now 100-sMAPE (Symmetric Mean Absolute Percentage Error) for all univariate predictions in Auto Predict and Predictive Planning.

For Auto Predict, you can see the Accuracy value for a prediction in the downloadable report.

For Predictive Planning, you see the Accuracy value for a prediction in the Prediction Details area (Click (Details) in the Prediction box in the Prediction results area.)

Business Benefit: This simpler and generic approach for accuracy calculation is consistent for all algorithms and easier to understand.
