Multiple Cube Support

Financial Consolidation and Close now supports up to four additional consolidation cubes in new and existing Hybrid applications using the Dense or Sparse Optimization (DSO) model. Administrators can enable these cubes as needed to distribute data for performance or support specific business requirements, including historical data, constant currency analysis, management reporting, and disclosure details. Additional cubes share the application’s dimensions and settings, with cube selection available for applicable processing and reporting activities. Multicube support helps address performance challenges as applications grow by distributing data across consolidation cubes. It also provides flexibility to manage different reporting and analysis needs within one application.

Business Benefit: Organizations can separate historical data, maintain management and legal reporting hierarchies, analyze financial results at constant exchange rates, and capture disclosure details while reducing the data volume processed in the main consolidation cube.

Steps to enable and configure

To enable additional cubes for ownership enabled applications, you must enable the Enhanced Organization by Period feature.
