Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection - IPAC process
IPAC is a way for Federal Program Agencies to transfer funds from one agency to another with standardized descriptive data. Upon downloading the transactions and importing into the system, agencies can see transactions that have occurred between them and other agencies. They can use the data downloaded from the IPAC system to enhance it into payments, collections, and adjustments.
A user has the capability to extend the new IPAC system to create outbound IPAC transactions and store the data in the same transaction table. The IPAC Data page enables the user to switch between inbound and outbound data. The user can also select and export a set of transactional data in the UI to create an outbound IPAC file to be sent to Treasury.
