Creation of Nonlabor Project Contract Invoice Lines by Person

Configure nonlabor invoice formats to group project cost transactions by person name, enabling easy creation of invoices with separate project contract invoice lines for time and expenses by person.

The invoice line grouping attributes listed below are added to the invoice format of type Nonlabor:

Person First Name Person Last Name Person Full Name Expenditure Type Class

If person attributes such as first name, last name or full name are included in a nonlabor invoice format without also grouping by expenditure type or expenditure type class attributes, then expense reports, usages, and miscellaneous project cost transactions with the same person details will be grouped together into the same invoice line, as highlighted in the screenshot below:

Conversely, by also including expenditure type or the new expenditure type class attribute into the nonlabor invoice format, expense reports, usages, and miscellaneous project cost transactions will be separated, as highlighted in the screenshot below:

The grouping of expense reports, usages, and miscellaneous project cost transactions onto credit memo, concession, write-off, or canceled invoice lines by person attribute or expenditure type class is also based on the nonlabor invoice format setup.

This feature simplifies and streamlines the review of nonlabor project contract invoice lines by grouping expenses by person. It makes it easier for both clients and internal project teams to quickly verify and approve invoices, reducing review time and minimizing errors or disputes.

Steps to Enable

Modify existing nonlabor invoice formats to add these new attributes, or create new nonlabor invoice formats (as demonstrated in the screenshot below) and associate them with existing or new bill plans:
