Account Alias for Joint Venture Accounts

Use account aliases when specifying accounts in the following Joint Venture Management applications: 

• Partner Contribution Requests 
• Partner Contributions 
• Joint Venture Source Transactions 
• Joint Venture Definitions 
• Ownership Definition Assignment Rules 
• Joint Venture Overhead Methods 

Instead of entering the actual account segment values that make up an account, users can select from a list of account aliases when specifying an account.

• Adoption of aliases should follow your organization’s chart of accounts governance policies.

Access requirements

The required privileges include Manage Joint Venture Definition, Manage Joint Venture Overhead Methods, Manage Joint Venture Assignment Rules, Manage Joint Venture Source Transactions, and Manage Partner Contributions. These privileges are included in the Joint Venture Accountant role.
