Introduction of Fact Based Dimension Loader

The "Populating Missing Master Data from Factual Data" feature allows you to automatically populate missing master data in Stage Master tables by extracting distinct values from factual data loaded into Stage Tables. This helps ensure that mandatory attributes are populated, and references are accurate in the Fact Results.

This feature allows populating the stage dimension table from Stage Fact tables in case the dimension table did not provide the references.

Steps to Enable

1. Load your factual data into Stage Tables.
2. Check if corresponding master data is missing in Stage Master tables.
3. Share the configuration as an excel file with details like Dimension Name, Stage Fact Table Name and Stage Fact Column Name to support team. Sample is given below. SOP will be prepared based on this and the configuration table will be set.
4. After loading of Stage Fact tables, navigate to the PMF Widget "Missing Master Loader" and trigger it. Before triggering the widget, the data between stage master and dimension should be in sync. This can be achieved by running SCD.
5. Run the SCDs for the remediated Master tables and load the dimensions.
