Catalog Extension: Support for New Fact Entity

The Current Catalog Extension feature supports the creation of new dimensions. However, it needs to be extended to allow customers to create fact entities as well. While DFCS might offer comprehensive catalogs for the banking and insurance sectors, there may be instances where users require new entities to address their specific requirements. 

Here are some use cases where Users might need this new feature:

• No entities present in model to support specific subject areas.
• Customer Specific Needs
• Bring in processed output data from external engines.
• Bring in additional data points for a use case which is not generic or needed for customer specific processing needs. 

Extensibility of Data Foundation – Data Foundation provides a comprehensive catalog, and this capability should be used only after ascertaining that there is no other option but to create a new fact entity.
