Practical Data Governance - Fact-based Dimension Loader, a Preventive Control

Typically, reference data changes are supposed to get introduced first in reference data management systems and subsequently these changes are published across transaction systems. For larger, more complex organizations, that operate in a federated fashion, at times, there is a lag in updating the central reference data management system. Currently, if source systems share transaction and balance data with references to newer dimension values that are yet to be made available to DFCS via reference data management system, it is treated as a DQ issue.
