User Defined Glossary

Users can capture glossary metadata such as name, reference code, source, purpose, and line of business. They can also use glossary mapping facility to map these local glossaries to Data Foundation catalog.

• Provides additional local context for data in DFCS. This is useful when working with large complex data environments where additional context is required to interpret the data accurately.
• In future, we will use this information to validate the mappings in ingest connectors, hence reducing operational risks in mapping related errors while ingesting data for a source application.
