Nexus AI skills

Nexus AI Skill Studio enables teams to design, govern, and deploy AI skills that can be made available in the Case Flow experience. A skill has metadata and context, a visual flow, capabilities and parameters, drafts and versions, and an explicit activation state. Skills can automate repeatable analyst tasks by using approved capabilities and predefined sources to retrieve, assemble, analyze, or prepare information within the configured case context.

Nexus AI skills provide a governed way to turn repeatable analyst work into a controlled, reusable flow. A skill can direct users to approved predefined sources and bring the resulting information back into the Case Flow experience, reducing manual switching between systems and helping teams apply a consistent method to common tasks. Skills are intended to augment a defined analyst task; they do not remove the organization’s responsibility for policy decisions, quality review, or human accountability.

  • Create skills and define their context and metadata.
  • Build the skill flow in the visual designer and configure the capabilities that it uses.
  • Validate drafts, deploy versions, activate skills for users, and deactivate them when they are no longer approved.
  • Expose skill-run results in supported Case Flow widgets and allow users to interact with the Nexus Agent experience where authorized via chat.

Steps to enable and configure

  • Define the business use case, users, case context, success criteria, and owner.
  • Create the skill, build the flow, configure capabilities and parameters, and deploy the draft.
  • Deploy and activate the approved version for the intended audience.
  • Assign Skill Designer and Skill Executor permissions, and add the appropriate Case Flow widget.

Tips and considerations

  • Start with a bounded use case and define the human decision that remains accountable.
  • Validate skill output quality, access controls, data handling, and failure behavior before activation.
  • Use draft and version controls for every material change; do not edit a live operating capability without validation.
