National Insurance – Investment Zones
From April 6, 2024, NI categories are available for employees identified as primarily employed in an investment zone. These categories when given to employees qualify for employer’s NI relief.
NI Category | Description |
---|---|
N |
Investment zone standard rate contributions |
E |
Investment zone reduced rate contributions |
D |
Investment zone deferred contributions where a deferment certificate is held |
K |
Investment zone employer only contributions |
Use the four new NI categories that come into effect from April 6, 2024 for Investment Zones. The NI categories N, E, D, and K apply to employees identified as primarily employed in an Investment Zone area. This ensures that the employer NI relief is applied for your organization.
