Configure Self-Scheduling Alert Notifications

You can now configure self-scheduling alert notifications that keep workers and schedule managers informed about the self-scheduling process. Here are the available alerts:

• Self-Scheduling Period Opening Soon (HTS_SS_SCHEDULED_TO_OPEN)
• Self-Scheduling Period Closing (HTS_SS_SCHEDULED_TO_CLOSE)
• Self-Scheduling Period Open (HTS_SS_OPEN)
• Self-Scheduling Period Closed (HTS_SS_CLOSED)
• Self-Scheduling Period Officially Closed (HTS_SS_CLOSED_SCHEDULER)
• Additional Shift Filled (HTS_SCHEDULE_ME_OPPORTUNITY_FILLED)

This feature improves worker satisfaction by keeping workers and schedule managers informed about key phases of the workforce scheduling cycle.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

You can change the standard notification template for each of these alerts using Tools > Alerts Composer.

You process the self-scheduling alerts using the Tools > Scheduled Processes task and Process Workforce Scheduling Alerts process.

Access Requirements

You need the Run Global HR Processes (PER_RUN_HR_PROCESSES_PRIV) privilege to schedule and run the Process Workforce Scheduling Alerts process.
