Alerts Composer - Resource Alerts Performance

You can now run concurrently-scheduled alerts defined on the same resource, in sequence, one after the completion of the other. This improves performance of resources that retrieve high volume of data.

To enable this feature, set the value of the new profile option, Alert Incompatibility Enabled (Profile Code: ORA_HRC_ALERT_INCOMPATIBILITY_ENABLED), to Y. If two alerts are defined on the same resource such as workers, for example, and both are scheduled to run at midnight, then only one of them is allowed to run. The next alert runs only after the completion of the previous one.

The default value for this profile option is N. It indicates that the existing behavior remains unchanged for the alerts. If two alerts are defined on the same resource such as workers, for example, and both are scheduled to run at midnight, then both are allowed to run concurrently.

For high volume of data retrieval, it's recommended to set the option to Y and run the alerts in succession for optimal performance.

Enhance the performance of resource alerts for high volume of data, by using the new profile option.
